Enjoyed the location. Staff was friendly and the room was very clean and refreshed daily. Didn't like it that the only window was 90% blocked by a wall 3 feet away. No ice readily available was also not helpful.

We paid extra for a room with a balcony, but it ended up just overlooking the roof of a big cement building. Not worth the price. Also the bathroom was small with no counter space to put your things, and a shower curtain only (instead of a closed-in shower or tub), so water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Very annoying But the hotel is very centrally located, so it was good to be there.

Excellent location, right in the center of Christchurch. However, we paid extra for a balcony, but it actually overlooks the back of big ugly buildings. I guess you need a FRONT balcony to be worth the price... The people running the hotel we're super lovely and helpful though, they get a 5 rating easily. But due to the view off balcony, I'm giving it a 4. :)
