Really enjoyable stay at Hotel Montreal. The rooms are large and well furnished- especially being so close to the city centre. The staff all deserve special mention- literally every person we spoke to was helpful, warm and kind. One of our favourite hotels on a 2 month trip.

Very clean and spacious room and bathrooms. Great comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff at the reception counter and restaurant. Special thanks to Gin (reception) who helped with dinner recommendation and reservation at Tutto Bene and Patrick at the restaurant who welcomed and looked after us during breakfast. If I visit Christchurch I will definitely return to Hotel Montreal.

Excellent hotel close to town

This is a wonderful hotel with very comfortable rooms. We loved our balcony and sitting area. What a lovely comfortable bed as well. Close to town and tram routes. Helpful staff. Restaurant in hotel plus room service if required. Loved it. One minor thing, please give us mugs in the rooms as the cups are tiny. Brilliant thank you.

Junior suite: Very nice bed with ironed sheets. Warm floor and double sinks in bath. Other conveniences include lighted closets, a safe, good Wi-Fi, kitchen and balcony. Wonderful bar and restaurant on the premises. Staff was fabulous. Laundry facilities were the only thing we missed. Highly recommend.

Amazing Churchill hotel

Here’s the deal. I spend over 200+ nights in hotels a year. Marriotts are my go to. This hotel was one of the finest places I’ve ever stayed in. I would serious choose this over a Four Seasons. Beyond clean, plenty of room, remodeled. Didn’t mention the heated bathroom floor? Staff from checkin to the bar were amazing.

Breakfast is way too expensive so we didn’t have it, otherwise we would have breakfast. Room was good but some stale smells was lingering, maybe because of the carpet. Staff was great and e-bike option was great
