While immaculately clean it's is a very tired . On the last day the hovering cleaners in the background while 3 units where departing, well before 10 was really uncomfortable. Not the fault of the cleaners who obviously did a good job. Stacked toilet roll dispenser, the type you'd find in a public toilet - nasty Spacious.

The unit was exactly as described and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and there was lots of space. Despite being on a main road it was quiet. The location is fantastic. I would definitely stay again.

We chose it because it was close to ChCh hosp. We were worried about noise, but found it quiet, set back from the road. Very comfortable, lovely bed, and a very pleasant stay thank you.

The staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to be helpful. The furniture is dated. New mattresses would help.

A good place to stay
Have stayed at the Aalton Motel a number of times over the years and have always found it clean and tidy and the management and staff very helpful. Its a handy to the city easy to get in and out of and within walking distance to Riccarton Mall

This was our second stay and although under new ownership it was again a faultless service.Great location,superb room and friendly owners and staff.As a bonus the Thai Orchid next is also a wonderful place to eat.

The proprietors are really welcoming and lovely people who are willing to help in any way they can. The facilities are very well maintained and super clean. The unit felt like a home away from home with many small touches that welcomed you home, and items that you would otherwise just go without while holidaying. A great value accommodation!

Lovely pet friendly motel
We only had a one night stay but the room was comfortable and had everything we needed, the location was easy to find and within easy driving or walking distance of everything. The hosts were genuinely lovely. I would stay here again .

What a gem of a find for Cricket fans (& others)
Roger and Shelley are fantastic hosts and their motel is perfectly located for attending cricket matches at Hagley Oval. (Or for shopping at Riccarton Mall for those who prefer shopping to cricket.) This motel will be our first option for any future stays in Christchurch.
