"Be careful paying extra for any type of room with a view - it’s not always what they say. We paid extra for a harbor view. Our balcony faced the neighboring building. You COULD see the harbor if you leaned out and looked to the left…so I guess you can have a harbor view if you work at it- but not from inside the room with the doors open. When I asked if that was indeed a harbor view room- The staff laughed and literally said let me know if you have any issues. I told them that was an issue and got another friendly laugh. Disappointing "

"The room was dirty, the toilet clogged, there was standing water in the shower. In addition, our key card needed to be refreshed by staff after every use."

"The sink is cracked. The baseboard was coming off the wall. The Fridge wasn’t working The shower handle is loose. The shower ceiling had peeling paint throughout. The drawers was still have leftover tags from the previous guest For the price, this was far too expensive for the condition of the room. I have stayed in hotels with much better conditions for a much lower cost. "

"Our stay was nice. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly. There was good lighting and the A/C was good. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices and fresh fruit. The only reason I didn't give "excellent" across the board is that the facilities are dated and well-worn. The woodwork is worn and carpets a bit tired. But it was all very clean. So, we were happy to be there and had a good stay! Also, it is right near the Isle of Palms connector so you can go for a nice run to the beach right out the door!"

"The property is great, all the areas are nice, the only downside form my perspective is the staff, they 0 in customer service. But, the place is super good, and well located."

"Internet was slow. Room seemed clean, but carpet on stairs between 1st and 2nd floors was very dirty. No almond milk at breakfast and staff did not know what I was asking for when I requested almond milk. No gluten-free options. These food items were relevant to me b/c I have multiple food allergies. Otherwise, it was a fine stay at a location about 12 minutes from the Charleston historic district."

"The view of the ocean was the only good thing about my room. The air conditioner didn't cool, no coffe pot,refrigerator didn't work,broke ice machine,stayed on 9th floor one elevator broke also could have had a microwave per request found out last night there. The only good thing about stay was staff Kat and Ernest. If I could have stayed in the lobby would have been amazing very disappointing paying well over 300 a night. I will never go back to the Tides again."
