Have been twice and will return again soon I hope! Only bad thing can be too many people will find this awesome place. It would be 5 stars if it had a restaurant and stuff big hotels have. But it is better quality IMO because of the small size that rewards attention and higher quality. Big hotels with 490 rooms are not fun for me.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you like alternativese to big hotels. Victor, the manager, and Manuel, the owner, were gracious and conscientious hosts. The small hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. We opted to have dinner on the hotel patio and the food, service, and setting were excellent.
Had a very hospitable experience here. Such friendly and personal service from the entire staff. Was catered to every morning with breakfast cooked to order, and every need that I had was met with great effort from the attendants. Friends that stayed in other hotels knew that we were spoiled by comparison. I highly recommend for a romantic and leisurely vacation in Cancun.
This is a fine five suite bed and breakfast away from the main road, very clean and inviting. We were the only guest here the whole week. So on the plus side you are the center of attention. We had dinner here every night and it was cooked to our liking. Two person team go beyond expectations to make you comfortable.
However they do not have a good selection of wine. I could not have my martini, they just do not have that. If you can live without your brand, this is the best deal in the town. Staff has a working knowledge of english and on the night of our arrival we had tough time communicating. The main road is about 1/2 mile from here.
The credit card machines do not work ( I have a feeling they just want you to pay in cash) may be because this property has an absentee owner. My AX worked every where in Cancun except at this property. Finally I used my master card.
We enjoyed our stay and the pampering. I would highly recommend this property.
The staff made dinner for us when we arrived late in the evening and packed sandwiches for us to take with us the next morning. They anticipated our needs.
my husband and I took our first trip alone without the kids and the this hotel was perfect!!! Very quiet, private and beautiful!! Genesis the person in charge there was very helpful and kind. Its very similar to a bed and breakfast. Loved this place!!!
Beautiful villa with excellent staff. It is a very welcome alternative to all those big resorts. We very much enjoyed the individual pampering by Mauricio and Nelly and the other employees and will definitely stay there again at our next visit in Cancun.
The only negative point we have to mention is the door bell. The buzzer is only in the office so that the staff can't hear it when there are in a different room. We had to call the phone twice for someone to let us in.
This hotel is a really lovely place with great staff. There's a mere 5 rooms, each one with a balcony, amazing bathroom, good bed, etc. The backyard is lovely; even on hot days, you sit on a dock under shade or under a hut around a dining table and read or enjoy. It's not far, but it is a far cry from the hotel zone with its all-inclusive resorts and thousands of rooms and partiers. When I told Linda I had come from there, she said, "Casa Margarita is for relaxing." And she was right. There's a chef morning and evening; breakfasts are included, but we also had the evening chef make dinner for us. She's terrific. They didn't bother you, but were always ready to jump in as needed, give advice on where to go, what to do, how to get there. It was the antithesis of the experience in the hotel zone, and a very welcome one for me.
I highly recommend Casa Margarita - lovely place, lovely people.
We were a little nervous at first about booking this hotel as there weren't many reviews and or information on it. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was really nice and clean. It had a beautiful view of the lagoon.
Linda was helpful with every last thing we needed. Victor drove us into town multiple times. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the beach/nightlife.
Cabs were about $10-$12USD.
Because we were staying at the Margarita we were able to get free day passes to the Mandala Beach Club and we went 3 times.
Eduardo was in charge of the food at the Margarita and he made us whatever we wanted. The guacamole was the best!
My favorite was the spa tub, it was the best after a day in the sun.
We stayed for 6 nights. On booking we were a little nervous because there isn't a lot of info about the Casa Margarita.
Everyone was soooo friendly and helpful. Linda helped us get settled and always was there if we had any questions at all. Victor was available night and day to take us anywhere we wanted to go. They have a car ready there. It's about a 25 min walk around the lagoon to the beach/nightlife.
Eduardo was on staff all day as well to prepare you any food you want to eat. He made me the BEST guacamole ever.
Breakfast is included so we are there everyday.
There is a small fridge in the room and we kept bottled water and cokes.
The best part was the bathroom. It was huge and the spa tube was wonderful after a day in the sun.
They also have range menus with the Mandala Beach club so you get free access. Which we did 3 days in a row.
It was worth every penny for the service.
