"The room was clean and quiet! We found the bed so comfortable and the bathtub was to die for!! We booked it because of its proximity to our family and it couldn’t have been better! We will be booking this space again in the future! Sheila made it very welcome for us-asking beforehand if we liked cream or milk for our coffee then providing it for us in the fridge! Everything was exactly as advertised-we loved it!"

Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort

8/10 Good

"I booked it for the outdoor pool and the ability to take one day to just lay in the sun. It did not disappoint. The outdoor pool was a perfect size to just float for a few minutes between bouts in the sun. The hotel itself might be older, but that does not deflect from any services offered or the upkeep of it. I didn't really have any other need to interact with staff, but it appeared that they were wonderful, always with a smile and a greeting when I seen anyone during my stay. I was happy to realize that, even though we were close to the airport, that I did not hear planes all night! But there was a major thunder and lightning storm during my stay that put on an amazing show! I stayed on the 18th floor of Columbia tower and had a great view of it, and of the Vancouver skyline and the beautiful mountains (made for a lovely sunset photo). The only thing that I would not recommend: the attached Denny's, our breakfast was not well cooked, and the coffee tasted very old. But there is a Timmy's close by and McDonalds, and other options."
