"Wonderful hotel, cant recommend highly enough. Great location on the south west coast path. They offer a packed lunch for the next day which is definitely needed for the walk from Hartland way to Bude! "

"OK, so it may not look as "well kept" from the outside, but this is a proper working pub with welcoming staff and great food. When it says home made - its home made :) Great selection and all the staff are really welcoming even if you do arrive a couple of hours early for check in........... Its on a busy road junction but i had a road facing room and was not woken by the noise Very near to several beaches and is really well placed to explore Bude and surrounding areas at a fraction of the cost...

"A great 13th Century property, welcoming staff very much appreciated after a 7 hour drive, lovely old dining room, lovely food, great walk out through farmlands to the rear of the Hotel down to the beach, a little strange for an Australian to be greeted by so many dogs in the Bar, but they added to the ambience!!"

"A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. "
