"We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. I cannot recommend this property...

"Moving to Chittlehampton,were looking for somewhere to stay for the first few weeks nearby and Prospect Cottage was perfect. We felt at home immediately, it has a cosy atmosphere with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view looking out of the cottage onto the square is quite charming with the Church at the top the Bell Inn at the bottom and beautiful cottages in between. There is also a fantastic village farm shop, tea shoppe and post office just around the corner which can supply...

"Friendly welcome. Lovely 3 x 1 hr private hot tub/sauna sessions. Lovely arrival treats. Considering we paid such a small amount for a 3 night stay on a bank holiday weekend it was much better than our expectations. We just wanted a clean bed and some basic facilities but we got so much more. Little touches like robes and salt and pepper was great. The kitchen had all the equipment we could possible need. Plenty of storage and the grounds were beautiful. Thanks for a great stay"

"We had a small misunderstanding about the composition of our group meaning we didn't have the right combination of beds made up - but the owners responded quickly and helpfully, as they did to all questions. The large kitchen dining area was a fabulous feature, so was the lounge. The garden was also fabulous although the weather wasn't kind to us so we couldn't use it as much as we hoped. Also, be aware the garden isn't really dog-proof since the front gate is just a standard 5-bar wooden gate...

"Myself and my 2 children (10 &14) had a lovely stay at Rosie's cottage. The cottage was clean, beds were comfy, everything you need in the kitchen. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. The swimming pool was a perfect temperature and could be used whenever we wanted. The peacocks in the garden kept my youngest occupied along with the trampoline. The cottage is close enough to Bideford, Westward Ho etc but out of the way in a small village. The hosts were very welcoming and were on hand if...

"Delightful accommodation with plenty of space to for our three generations and what a location. Had not known about Appledore before we went but its just perfect, would definitely reccomend, from the rockpooling and crabbing opportunities with the kids to wandering down to the Coffee Cabin first thing and simply enjoying the holiday atmosphere and estuary views. We finshed with a meal at the Beaver Inn (book early as its busy)- really nice pub. Oh, and not forgetting the Devonshire ice cream...

"The stay was very enjoyable and Bude was very pretty and near to property. Trying to get in touch with the owner before the trip was troublesome because of Vrbo and their pass words which never seem to work. That was the worst part of booking this trip."

"This is a delightful cottage - we loved it - cosy, beautifully designed and very comfortable. It's in an amazing location, right in the heart of Croyde, but just off the main street and down a small lane, with direct access (10min walk) to the beach. We loved being able to walk everywhere. "Lovely cosy cottage. All the contact with owner was very good and everything explained fully about the cottage. The parking was good but the roads out are very narrow and it’s a long walk into Bude on a busy road. The buses are unreliable too so we had to always drive into Bude which was quiet in October but I’m sure would be different in the tourist season. Overall for us we liked the cottage very much."
