"The door didn't lock when I arrived; I had to wait to lock my stuff safely, and it took 3 hrs (8:30 p.m.). Everything was wet because the humidifier wasn't on. Couldn't use the couch or chair because it was gross! The couch cushions had what looked like blood on them... I didn't even touch it, and I couldn't use half of the place I rented. "The house is clean, attractive, and comfortable, and it's located so that you can watch the sun rise over the Atlantic and set over the Pamlico Sound. It's quiet and private, with lovely views from every room. The wrap-around porch has comfortable lounging spaces as well as beautiful views. There's also easy access to the Sound for paddleboarding, and the beach is about a 20-minute walk, or you can drive to a public access ramp. Karen, the host, was responsive and made the process easy. If you are into stargazing, you will love this place. There's an upper deck off one of the bedrooms, and we saw more stars from up there than I've ever seen in my life. It was spectacular, and if we go back to the OBX, we would definitely stay in this place again."
