"The room is nice, clean, and spacious. It also has a kitchen and a dining table. However, the curtain cannot be fully closed. People outside might see things inside the room."

"The setting is beautiful! Lovely veranda w rocking chairs, excellent restaurant and beautiful view. My husband and I stayed for 2 days and enjoyed our stay. The only hiccup was our tv. We had to call the front desk one night because our tv had stopped working. They sent a maintenance tech to our room (Trevor) who was very nice and helpful. He was troubleshooting then decided to put a different tv in. The next morning we wanted to watch news but the tv wouldn’t come in. The front desk sent another maintenance tech who was able to finally find the problem and did a hard reset at the main panel. Both techs were very nice. We appreciated their help but hated we had to have someone come twice to our room during this short stay."

"Can’t say enough about the entire experience. From the wonderful cottage with all the amenities and great decoration you could ask for to our exceptional hostess Janille. So accommodating and friendly. I’ll be looking forward to my return in the future. There’s nothing better than to not worry about the little things during your vacation. Summer Breeze, under the care of Janille, allowed us to thoroughly enjoy everything Ocracoke had to offer. My hat’s off to them."

Ocracoke Harbor Inn

Ocracoke Harbor Inn

8/10 Good
"I stayed at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn for one night in late August recently. The staff was friendly & gave some good info about the island along with a map. The room was clean & had all the regular amenities plus a balcony facing the harbor. The room must have been insulated well because I didn't hear too much outside noise (maybe the other guests were really quiet like me). The mattress was very comfortable & this is the main reason why I'd stay at this location again. I took off one star because I didn't like the blinds covering the two big windows leading to the balcony (that faced the busy harbor). There was only one set of vertical blinds & I would have preferred another layer like a curtain for better privacy. This location is a good option."

The Silver Lake Hotel at Ocracoke

The Silver Lake Hotel at Ocracoke

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is all updated. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Our suite had access to the upper deck for viewing the sunset and the stars. The layout and furniture worked well for us (three people) and could have handled more very easily. Right across the road the Jolly Roger restaurant is also newly renovated and had really good dinners and drinks - and also another great place to watch the sunset over the Silver Lake harbor. We had fish tacos one night and (local) shrimp tacos the next. The restaurant was also able to give us good gluten free options. Besides the room and nearby restaurant, we hotel provided access to bicycles, beach chairs, drinks and sundries, and ice! For Ocracoke in mid-August these were all very useful. The staff was courteous and helpful. We expect to be back next summer!"
