"This is an older hotel, there is a lot of wear and tear. The doors face outside so it’s loud you will hear cars and people. That’s a given. With that being said it’s clean it’s comfortable everything in our room worked. Shower, toilet, microwave, refrigerator ac unit. Clean sheets clean pillows and clean towels. No bed bugs because other reviews mentioned them and I checked. I stayed for two nights and it was adorable. The breakfast is basic, coffee, bagels, cereal, juice. It’s a simple affordable clean hotel. Would be ok staying again. "

"The house opens onto a wonderful backyard that makes the living space seem much larger. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and offers great indoor and outdoor dining options. The house was clean, comfortable and private. And being steps to the staircase down to the beach was an added bonus. A great place to stay whenever your plans bring you to Santa Barbara."

"The location is great. The parking is $10 per day & underground. The breakfast is ok. The staff is nice. However, the showers took 20 minutes to warm up. Also it smelled like sewage when we arrived. "

"The house was perfect for entertaining a large group. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather comfortably, and the views of the ocean were absolutely beautiful. We also loved how easy it was to walk down and access the beach. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we’d definitely come back"

"Greatest thing about the place was the location - just about perfect for us - close to the Mesa Lane Steps and the Douglas Family Preserve. Also very easy to drive to those places away from the general neighborhood when we wanted to.Never met the "host," which was a management company of some sort, but never really needed to. Did not meet owners of the house to which the VRBO property was attached, but never really needed. Although there were six different ways to make coffee (always a big plus), the kitchen was underequipped for any substantive food preparation. It likely would have been fine for a shorter stay, say a long weekend, but for us at two weeks it was bit of a problem."
