"From the first moment we arrived we knew it was a special place. We received a warm welcome, got escorted to our room and give welcome drinks and cookies. Our room was immaculate. We had a beautiful view of the river and our own private Japanese garden and inside and outside onsen bath. We were provided with breakfast and dinner in the kaiseki style in our own room. "Lovely hostel with very kind staff. Everything was very clean and there were a lot of thoughtful touches. It is right on a road so earplugs were helpful to drown out road noise at night. Lots of great food options during the day but things close early so fewer dinner options. Would definitely stay again. "

"Absolutely beautiful hotel. What I love the most is the private onsen in the room. It's in a semi-open space (not in the room, but under a roof kind of in the back balcony). The private onsen refills itself, and temperature regulated. It was amazing. Beautiful scenery, excellent staff, exceptional breakfast."
