My family enjoyed this location. While a bit out of city center, it was quieter and less crowded, and beautiful. The two tram lines right by the hotel could quickly take us either to central station or more leisurely path to the museum area. The neighborhood has nice restaurants, and a beautiful canal for evening walks, playgrounds nearby, as well as several convenient supermarkets and stores.

We loved our stay at the Hoxton so much. It’s a lovely building in a quiet area but so easy to get around with the tram stop so close by. The staff are really lovely - especially the restaurant and bar staff. So friendly and interesting to chat to! Special thanks to Maya, Femke and Luigi who made our trip to Amsterdam start off in the best possible way. Can’t wait to return

The hotel was wonderful and in a very cool, quiet but accessible neighborhood. The room was beautiful, the beds were super comfortable and it was blissfully quiet. Staff was great throughout and gave us great recommendations. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, perfectly situated just outside the more touristy areas for a quieter environment, but 2 minutes away from a tram stop, for lines 1 and 26, the latter which goes to amsterdam central in less than 10 minutes. Also great area to cycle, close to Flevopark and surrounding cycling paths. Would definitely go back to this hotel. Room was also very comfortable, and many shops and restaurants are close by.

No air con in the room so very uncomfortable during the hot weather. Room was noisy in the morning and at night. Coffee is too expensive and better to go elsewhere. Finally the TV in the room didn’t work and was useless. Beyond that the location is good, the pub next door is great.

3nl night for me and my wife.Perfect hospitality from staff.lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere .nice quieter part of town but still just minutes to centre from nearby tram.we asked to move to and there room due to the heat and staff immediately accept accommodated us with room and AC for no extra cost.room service was great.bike hire was complimentary.would definitely come back!

Check-in was very slow but got a room upgrade (which was old part of the building), which was great initially but there was no AC & therefore had to request a fan (especially on a 35 degree day), received a Dyson fan that didn’t do the job very well. Housekeeping for your room was asked at check-in which I found very unusual as it should be something as a default or by a sign in your room when required. Breakfast is well worth getting with your room as it was exceptional & great service. Lastly to borrow an umbrella shouldn’t be an obligation to the patrons as something that is a rental & placed against the room (not very well delivered by one of your staff members). Otherwise beautiful decor of the hotel just need to work on a better experience in staying there.

A lovely building and the communal areas are lovely. The bedroom looked lovely but not very practical - the hanging area for clothes was pretty inaccessible, the shower was lovely but the rest of the bathroom cramped due to the position of the toilet. A lot of wasted space in entrance area. There is also no air conditioning. I had to ask 3 times (and one very hot night) before I received a fan. The room was very hot so sleeping was uncomfortable. The hotel is a long way out of the city but the team is nearby. The staff on reception were lovely and very helpful. We are in the restaurant one night and the food was very good but a little pricey.

What a unique hotel. We loved our stay at the Hoxton Lloyd. A little outside of the main areas of central Amsterdam, but close to a train that takes you there in 15-20 mins. We loved the history of it, and all the funky details and decor inside. We had a beautiful view of a canal, and enjoyed the bar/restaurant downstairs. The bunkbeds were perfect for the kids, and we used the supermarket and coffee shop across the street a couple of times. They also have complimentary bikes available, and decent restaurant options within walking distance. Also the photo booth in the lobby was a hit. Highly recommend if you don't mind staying outside of the Amsterdam core.
