"Bed bug problem here! Bitten all over my arms, legs and body! Further, when I told the desk clerk, she told me that there never has been a complaint about that room before... as if that was important! She told me that the hotel manager would call me... never happened.
Other aspects... toilet that didn't work regularly, bathroom door that stuck shut and required a handyman to attempt to repair it (good try for him, but the door was not installed properly, which seems odd for an older hotel). None of these issues was a big deal, and I would never have left this type of review because of that.
Front desk check in was great, handled efficiently. Check out issue with notifying of the bedbug problem was poor.
I am 25 nights away from being a lifetime platinum elite, so I have alot of experience with Marriott properties. I would have preferred to discuss this privately with the hotel management, but I've given them 2 opportunities to contact me. TBH this was the most disappointing experience I've had in over 23 years of being a Marriott Elite member."
