"The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The staff were extremely friendly and made time to speak with us everyday. Would recommend staying here to anyone "
"Well mantained hotel with variety of accomodation options to choose from.We stayed in 'maisonette' with gorgeous view on the bay. The breakfast bakery is the best♡ The staff was very friendly."
"The bed was horrible. There is no padding. The mattress springs push right into your back. The a/c doesn't really work and there is little cross breeze or ventilation. "
"An excellent place to stay in a stunning location. It’s a family run hotel/suites and that comes through in the personal and friendly service. Highly recommended."
"We were only there for a few hours before we got a late flight back to the UK but everything was fine. Good size rooms and beds with a modern fit-out. The location is great too - very close to the beach!"
"booked for our wedding anniversary - paid extra for a private pool which we could not use as it was dirty - asked every day for it to be cleaned this never happened the same dirt and debris was in there all week - the only time it was cleaned was the day we checked out "

"The entire staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. The property was unique… the room was spacious and the amenities were endless. We loved the high end blue tooth speaker system in our room as well as the robes and slippers. Dimitrios and Kostas were very helpful and Elizabeth gave us terrific deep tissue messages. Stella took great care of our room. The restaurant onsite was excellent and we were well attended to by the staff. We are grateful! We will return for sure!! "
"From the moment we arrived at Maison Meltem, we were welcomed into an atmosphere of understated luxury and style. The room was a true showcase of tasteful interior design—chic, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay feel special. The décor blends modern elegance with Mediterranean charm, creating a space that is both inviting and relaxing.
The private pool attached to our room was a highlight—an exclusive retreat where we could unwind in total privacy. Whether enjoying a morning swim or a quiet evening by the water, it added a sense of indulgence and tranquility to our experience.
What truly sets Maison Meltem apart is the personal service. Olivier’s attention to detail and genuine care for his guests is exceptional. He goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome and at ease.
Dinner at the hotel is not to be missed. The cuisine is exquisite, with beautifully presented dishes that celebrate the flavors of Crete. The intimate setting and attentive service make every meal a memorable occasion.
Maison Meltem is more than just a hotel—it’s a place where you can truly feel at home. If you’re looking for a boutique experience that combines comfort, style, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the perfect address. Highly recommended!"
"A few words will tell how great our stay was. To start with the the staff on the front desk are very polite courteous very nice,& well spoken. We honestly love it. Will I consider coming back” yes and will I stay at the same absolutely. Thank you Pela Mara it was a pleasure staying at your place. "
"The hotel looks very nice from the outside and also in the pictures. The view is simply stunning and truly impressive. Unfortunately, the location is a bit inconvenient – there are no tavernas or attractions around.
Although it is presented as a five-star hotel, in our opinion it is more like a 3.5-star standard. The food was often cold, very monotonous, and with little variety. There was no live cooking, not even at breakfast.
The all-inclusive drinks were quite average, as expected, but the paid drinks at the bar were excellent – some of the best I have ever had.
This hotel is not the right choice for people who want to explore Crete. It is rather for those who just want to pay for an all-inclusive stay, relax at the hotel, and do nothing else.
The cleaning service was poor, and the sunbeds on the beach were dirty – something unacceptable for a five-star hotel. Everything seems like more as quantity rather then quality.
On a positive note, Irina at the reception was absolutely fantastic and made our stay really enjoyable in terms of entertainment. Also, Maria at breakfast was very friendly and left us with a great impression.
Overall, the hotel left us with a disappointing impression, and we definitely would not book it again.
