Great location and gorgeous property, however house is not fully equipped in the kitchen as advertised. 2 old warped fry pans, 1 saucepan, no tongs, no egg flip for your bacon and eggs, no basic provisions (salt, pepper etc). There is a coffee pod machine but no pods in welcome pack. Bathroom downstairs, cold in winter, get drenched when raining, stairs are slippery, same as the balcony, no roof.

I’m not a big complainer, but the reviews before and after mine cannot possibly be accurate. The floors are sticky. It smells HORRIBLE! The AC was not left on so it was so hot inside! The combo of heat and smell made us ill. We opened the back door to let in air and waft the smell out and the view was not great. There was scum on the balcony and (uncontrollably but gross) bird poop on the windows. The hallways were also sticky and coffee covered. I didn’t start at the beginning I guess. Getting in was a hassle. The “concierge” was grouchy. I felt unwelcome from the onset of telling her we were renting the space. Once the key was actually acquired (and I honestly don’t remember reading about the key process) The walls in the halls were all beat up. I’ve stayed in dozens of VrBOs and air Bnbs in all kinds of countries. I felt so uncomfortable with this one that I paid for a hotel (doubling my visit expenses) to not spend another second inside. I messaged the owner to advise that the keys were returned (a 2.5 block walk, with luggage) back to the lockbox we had to obtain them from. The owner advised I would be created for cleaning fees and a portion of the stay. It’s been two weeks and that hadn’t happened and the owner has disappeared from communications. VRBO advised the Host is both the owner and property manager and they need to make this right stating VRBO cannot help. I’ve used VRBO pretty extensively for travels, but after this one horrible encounter, won’t.
