CHANCELLOR ON CURRIE-AVOID ROOM 602...TERRIBLE
Due to covid we were transferred from The Grand Chancellor to Chancellor on Currie and absolutely not happy with service/room. Booked executive queen recently renovated room with big windows at TGC and received a considerable downgrade by being stuck in AN ATTIC ROOM 602 , a room with hardly any light coming in as 2 very narrow windows are behind nib walls and curtains take light away as well. So for 3 days our view was a white wall with an airco on it, the exit door and a huge microwave standing on top of a very outdated looking corner cabinet.... the whole room looked like a motel room stuck in the 90ies. Besides, the room was VIBRATING due to traffic on the street/elevator, even when in bed you could feel it. Absolute waste of money and when contacted by Hotels.com TGC did not suggest a solution although responsible for booking and subsequent transfer/downgrade. Only positive during the stay was that the room although looking outdated was clean and the location central. TERRIBLE - AVOID ROOM 602

Instruction for shower
Rooms great except that one room the shower was not working properly and when we said something they said they would come and turn our shower on for us when we want one. When you have 4 ladies in a room that is NOT going to happen. Just leave instructions on how to use the shower!

Owing to covi we were moved from Hindley St to Currie street, we were digusted the rooms are small, drab, dark and very much in need of a renovation., no comparison at all to the Hindley St hotel. The front entrace on arrival was locked and littered with public rubbish, at the side entrance was 2 amounts of vomit that were still there on day 2, we checked out a day early with no interest as why we were doing so.We also find I paid $300 for Hindley St. and Currie St. $265.
