"Good valued hotel"
We stayed for 5 nights during the last week of July 2016. Family of 4 (me, wife and four year old twins) in a double room. Rooms are small but big enough for us to just lay & sleep & head off the next day. This isn't one of those hotel that you stay in and relax in the room. As the biggest in the family (5'7" tall for your reference), we fitted perfectly. if you are bigger than I am, you might find the rooms a bit of a squeeze, specially the shower. The shower room is very minimal but I have to admit, I do love the Toto seat with warm heated seat. The shower is just behind the wall of the headrest of the bed but once the door is shut you hardly hear any noise when someone is using it. Kids can sleep soundly even if someone is using the shower. No built-in cupboards so your luggage will be your overall storage. Staff are honest & there's a built-in safe for your valuables. Lobby is bright but it didn't reflect onto the hallway to the room after the elevator. However, everywhere is clean, so it didn't matter what it looked like to us. The staff are very friendly and will do their best to assist you in anyway, communication will not be an issue. The location isn't as bad for the price you pay. It's about 400m walk to the JR line Iriya entrance or about 700m walk to the central gate. Although the Iriya entrance looks closer, it is about another 200m walk to the JR gates. But then again, Tokyo is all about walking so I highly recommend comfy shoes.

Great location next to a lot of amenities, attractions, and transportation systems. Room has everything we needed. Only dislike was breakfast a little expensive with not a lot of variety.

"Good location views, and amenities"
I moved to this hotel for my last night, and enjoyed my stay, This hotel really makes an effort to make the customer feel welcome. There are men's and women's spas available and breakfast for every guest. My room was clean and comfortable and had lots of wonderful small touches, including an amazing massage pillow. What I wasn't so happy with was the breakfast (go early if you want anything at all), and that the rooms were small, even for Tokyo, and the bathroom only big enough to step into. If you are small in stature and thin, this hotel will work well for you.

"Great Hotel to see Akihabara"
The hotel is situated in a side street but is easily accessible a short walk from the train station. It is literally across the street from Ueno Park which is beautiful when we went in summer. Rooms are small but it is Tokyo so you cannot expect too much in that respect. Rooms are well kept and staff is respectful and good at answering all questions we had in multiple languages. They are good at making directions easy to follow even if we have to make confusing train transfers. It is a station away or about a 20 minute walk from central Akihabara. Tons of amenities included and restocked daily. The only eyebrow raiser wqs the street outside. It looked a little seedy and red light districtey but that was only on the saturday night when we arrived. I saw tonf of families with children using the hotel so I dont think the surrounding area is a concern. Just be aware there is club and night life on the weekends.

The hotel has great location, and near several restaurants. But the room is small and can only fit one person. Anyway, good experience and good hotel.

I found this hotel for my short business trip. It is located close to the shopping centers around Ueno station. In addition, it is very close to the Asian market with a series of Asian restaurant.

"Nice and close to ueno Park"
Great clean hotel close to ueno Park. Great clean and big rooms. The only downside was that there was one bathroom across two floors! Toilets on every floor however.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Ueno 3 stars Hotels

This area offers a glimpse of what life was like before the economic boom of the 1970s and 1980s. Neighboring Asakusa, it is best known for the Ameya-yokocho Arcade, a busy market with interesting stalls. Ueno-koen, a sprawling park with monuments, zoo, pagodas, and a pond, is a must-do. Museums and galleries abound in the area.
