"Good location. Minimal amenities"
Great location for getting around, however rooms were small even for Japan and the amenities were limited in the room. No bath, just shower. Just found the room expensive for what you get.

"Small but convenient"
The hotel was very small and dated but the location was a plus. We really enjoyed the free tea and coffee on the 2nd floor and the breakfast. We would definitely stay there again :)

"Excellent location but tight fit"
Stayed here on our last night in Japan. We chose it for the closeness to the JR line because we had a late arrival from Hakodate. Indeed, you can get here easily without taking steps but using escalators or elevators if you can find the right path via Asakusa exit. So, this is terrifically located hotel. The size of our room, however, mirrored the Ueno area--really tight. It felt like a cabin of a sail boat and after having a large room in Hakodate, we felt really squeezed in. Also, not much in the way of amenities--have to get your coffee and tea from the lobby. The staff was excellent and held our bags after check-out until we retrieved them in the evening before our journey home via Tokyo airport.

Decent hotel, worth the price. Pretty much what you'd expect from a 'business hotel'. Staff doesn't speak much English.

"Nice transit hotel"
We only stayed for 1 night on the last day of our trip. The size of the room is quite small and narrow which is expected for hotels in Japan. We chose this hotel due to its location that is near to Euno station which has a direct train to Narita Airport. The hotel is also quite close to Asakusa and the Skytree. Near to subway and train station. The hotel also provide luggage storage facility when we went out for sight seeing after we have checked out. Good if the hotel could give direction which Exit to take from the Euno Station to the hotel as it could be quite confusing to guest who just arrived in Tokyo.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Ueno 3 stars Hotels

This area offers a glimpse of what life was like before the economic boom of the 1970s and 1980s. Neighboring Asakusa, it is best known for the Ameya-yokocho Arcade, a busy market with interesting stalls. Ueno-koen, a sprawling park with monuments, zoo, pagodas, and a pond, is a must-do. Museums and galleries abound in the area.
