"Hotel is pretty convenient."
Close to Train station, Zoo, park, and supermarket. Staffs helped as much as they can. The rooms are a little tight for 4 of us (2 adult, 2 kids) but good enough to rest.

"Very convenient hotel"
The location is great, right in the middle of Ueno station and Okachimachi station. There are lots of nice restaurants near the hotel, and the hotel is right behind the famous Ame-yoko alley. The hotel staffs are extremely nice, and speaks Japanese, English and Mandarin. The room is small, but has everything you need. Overall, a very good budget hotel.

"Very convenient, close to public transport station"
Room is nice and clean, very wuiet and sound proof but it's a bit too small. I stayed by myself, it will be very tight if occupied by a couple.

"Oh god where are the ramps?!"
Okay, so I want to begin by saying this is a cute little chain business hotel, its a little big of a trek from Ueno Station so be aware, but no more than about 10 minutes on foot. The area is quiet and has little traffic so I never had any issue with sleeping. Beds are clean and comfortable and have a good deal of pillows to begin with. The staff were typical Japanese hotel workers, polite but not really what you would call friendly. Do what is required but don't go out of the way to help. Pretty standard. One big note to be aware of, when I got to the hotel, as a weary traveler I saw the bane of my existence, stairs. There were stairs to go up to the entryway of the hotel just about 5. Normally not a big deal, I'm just tired and my bag for this trip is ultra heavy. Okay. Fine. So getting up the stairs I enter the lobby. Very clean, upscale looking lobby, I think recently redone. And what doth appear to my wandering eyes as I survey the foyer of my temporary abode? MORE STAIRS! Awww. Nuts. So there are stairs go into the building, and you have to climb another small set to proceed to the reception area. There isn't a ramp or anything like that to be found. All and all a nice, fairly well located, clean and comfortable hotel. Just let those elderly, handicapped, or heavily luggaged travelers be aware. Staying at this hotel will be nice, but getting in and out of it will be a pain.

I found this hotel for my short business trip. It is located close to the shopping centers around Ueno station. In addition, it is very close to the Asian market with a series of Asian restaurant.

facilities are basic, but the breakfast/bar area is pleasant and sociable, and the staff all bent over backwards to make my stay more pleasurable.

"Good hotel in a convenient location"
After getting off the JR Yamanote line, we went through what we thought was a short cut, instead it was a densely packed block of love hotels hahaha. Turns out the hotel is on the main road and was really easy to find. Location was great and away from all the hustle and bustle of main Ueno despite being so close. If you want to walk from the main station it's about 10 minutes, don't take the main Showa Dori road, it's kinda depressing and boring, drop back an adjacent street and its much more entertaining. Rooms were fine and the staff very helpful.

"Small but convenient"
The hotel was very small and dated but the location was a plus. We really enjoyed the free tea and coffee on the 2nd floor and the breakfast. We would definitely stay there again :)

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Ueno 3 stars Hotels

This area offers a glimpse of what life was like before the economic boom of the 1970s and 1980s. Neighboring Asakusa, it is best known for the Ameya-yokocho Arcade, a busy market with interesting stalls. Ueno-koen, a sprawling park with monuments, zoo, pagodas, and a pond, is a must-do. Museums and galleries abound in the area.
