"This place was great. It was right next to train station if you are traveling by train and easy walk to the Duomo. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I saw others complain about night noise but I did not think it was noisy"

"The room was spacious and comfortable and clean. When the staff was there they were very helpful. It would have been nice to have someone there the whole day. Also it would have been nice to be able to open the shutters to get some natural light. Also the elevator did not work"

"It was a beautiful room and bathroom. Easy Checkin and close and convenient to Ponte Vecchio. A bumpy, 25-30 walk from train station but otherwise great. Staff was extremely helpful also."

"This is not really a hotel so much is a bed-and-breakfast. There was a gentleman who greeted us when we checked in and helped us with our luggage, but you don’t really see anyone even other guests during the time that you were there. This may be appealing to some, but if ever you needed anything during the evening, you’re not going to get it. The hotel is located next to an outdoor leather market, and it’s pretty central however certain basic amenities are lacking. My wife had to use noise...

"It was walkable to points of interest in Florence. It’s an older hotel and parking is almost impossible. The room was clean and the front desk person was very helpful. I would probably spend more money to have a place with parking. "

"Good bnb for Florence with quiet location easily accessible to tour points. The actual hotel is up 3 flights of stairs...we didn’t know that in Italy ground floor is 0, not 1. So if you see "second floor" its actually 3. Totally fine for us but maybe not great if you have tons of luggage or are elderly. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems at all with the lodging. "

"Quaint. Feels like you are staying in the real Florence. Desk manned for only a portion of the day. If you are arriving late, ensure you contact hotel for entry codes and room key. There is a code to building, code to floor of hotel and then key to room. Walkable from train station and walkable to attractions."

"Couldn't have been any closer to the Duomo if we'd tried. Room was nice with a a cute little terrace with table and chairs. Our only negative was the noise level. We were in room n°6 right by the exterior stairs, elevator, and entrance. Could hear everything! Then on the inside, anytime someone walked in, the automatic light came on, shinning straight into our room."

"The B&B Galileo 2000 is situated in a perfect position to explore Florence, all the must see sites are within walking distance, the room we had was the 'Romantic' room and was plenty big enough although there was no view from our window other than into another property, the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Would recommend as an ideal place to stay as it's so conveniently situated."
