"Beautiful hotel great charm."
Great hotel, we had an amazing stay!! Front of house staff were extremely helpful and we were greeted very warmly. The food was fantastic in the Ruapehu room, make sure to book if you want dinner, we had a very late seating but were happy that they could accommodate us. Breakfast buffet was nice however it would've been even better if there was an omelette station or even the option to have your eggs cooked different ways like many hotels have (there may of been the option however it was not offered and not on display). The hotel room that we stayed in was lovely however the bathroom was below average, it was old and dated and could really use a revamp. Overall beautiful hotel, great charm, lovely staff and we will recommend it to everyone!

"Great views."
We stayed in a Chalet/Cabin and the views were quite spectacular. Can only imagine how much better they would be in the winter months. Facilities are good, the staff were helpful. Restaurant was very reasonably priced and the food was good. The booking via Expedia never reached them, but the staff were quick to provide the accomodation and sorted it out during our stay.

"Good location."
Only issue we had was the thinness of the walls. Able to listen to tv from rooms either side and someone snoring in the room next door. This was a shame as the rest of the facilities and position were good so although I would recommend it I would let friends know the down side so they could make their own decision. Good breakfast included in our rate.

"Good for hikers"
Staff was excellent. Very helpful. Accommodations seemed a little lacking for the price. The whole building needs some tiding up. Very cozy fireplace at the bar/restorant. Happy with our stay, though.
