"Truly Unbelievable! The staff is amazing and atten"
Truly Unbelievable! Amazing staff, Large Rooms & Bathrooms. Boutique Hotel to the max! Every detail was impeccable, down to the room key, coffee/tea delivery, & complimentary beverages & snacks. This is THE BEST hidden gem I've ever come across.

This hotel was reasonably priced (by NYC standards), was conveniently located and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here the next time I come to NYC and would recommend it to friends. The free wi-fi and continental breakfast were a real plus for me. The only negative for me was that there was a fair amount of noise from outside traffic in the mornings during rush hour, which is unavoidable in NYC. (I was in a second floor room facing Lexington Avenue, so perhaps rooms higher up or on a side street are a bit more quiet). I got some earplugs at a nearby drug store and that took care of that one minor drawback. Other than that, I give this hotel, and particularly the friendly staff, an A+!

Booked this hotel through Expedia and had the best experience. The hotel is beautiful very art deco and you feel like you are in The Great Gatsby. The room was huge, plush and comfortable. Did not want to leave the sumptuous bed, but its great location next to Central Park was key to visit this beautiful area, near the Museums and fantastic restaurants. On 5th Avenue so easy to walk to the shops. The staff were very helpful, always cheerful and happy to accommodate any request.

The whole visit was a great success, the weather was great, the people were friendly, the theater was marvelous; and it all started with Nicola, the young woman who checked us in at the Mark. Nicola overheard my wife mention that she was hungry, and did´t like the idea of having to go out. She made several calls, and invited us to go into the wonderful restaurant of the hotel. Got us a table, and the experience was great. We undoubtedly would recommend staying at the Mark, and praise the food and service at its restaurant, they both rate a couple of stars. Nicola rates at least three.

Compared to other NYC hohotelThe Archer is far superior in every way. The hotel is great, especially the rooms with the Empire State building view. The Staff are super friendly and helpful and to top it off, the restaurant has amazing food and the roof top bar is great.

My daughter and I decided to have the trip of a lifetime to New York following my retirement. We stayed at the Refinery Hotel for 4 nights and we were extremely glad that we had chosen this wonderful hotel. It's location was ideal, located between 5th and 6th Avenue within comfortable walking distance to Times Square, Rockerfeller Centre, Macy's and a lot of other wonderful shops along Fifth Avenue.
We did use a lot of taxis as walking for longer periods was an issue for me, this does take quite a lot of money but well worth it in our circumstances. We visited all the well known New York landmarks and found that an early start helped a lot with the queus and the amount of people - we were at the Empire State Building as they opened at 08.00 a.m. Similarily Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and Top of the Rock.
We had wonderful meals in a lot of special restaurants but the two that stood out were Gallagher's steak house in the Broadway area and The Boathouse in Central Park where we were fortunate in experiencing exceptionally warm weather and we enjoyec lunch overlooking the lake.
A wonderful night at the theatr watching Jersey Boys was also a highlight which we'll never forget.
Back to the wonderful Refinery Hotel, we were so glad that we had chosen a boutique hotel and not one of the much larger establishments that New York is well known for. The staff couldn't do enough for you and service was world class - actually made our holiday.

Great location in nice neighbourhood, staff so helpful but not pushy or looking for tips! Room had everything we need plus some, quality bedding so soft & bed was like heaven after a long day walking the NYC sidewalks! Loads of room and huge big windows to see the city full on.
