    Cheap Flights to New York

A location with a rich history, bustling streets, and a unique culture all its own, New York is a city that calls tourists from around the globe. Although this destination is filled with recognisable landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, it is also home to such lesser-known gems as the Earth Room, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and the Frick Collection.
Whether seeking culture, entertainment, or history, tourists come to this city in droves, so finding cheap flights to New York is an easy task.

Best time to travel to New York

    Peak Season:

Although the city itself is enough to bring tourists in during the peak season, another perk during this period is the mass of activity that occurs from October to December.
October boasts the exciting Big Apple Circus, while in November you can join the crowds at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and view the Holiday Windows on Fifth Avenue as well as see in the New Year in December. Flights to New York can be very expensive during these months, so it is important to book in advance.

    Shoulder Season:

Although tourism calms down a bit from April to September, visitors still come to the city to take advantage of the pleasantly mild weather. This is an excellent time to stroll through Central Park, take a ferry to Governor’s Island, or view the monuments at Battery Park.
The shoulder season also has numerous events, like the Tribeca Film Festival in April, Shakespeare in the Park in June, and Wigstock in September.

    Off Season:

Flights are at their cheapest from January to March, when the weather can be bitingly cold in the city. As tourists flee New York during these months, this is an excellent period to visit some of the more popular attractions, like the Museum of Modern Art and the American Museum of Natural History.

New York Airport and transfer information

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
Distance: 19km southeast from Lower Manhattan
Public transport, such as trains, buses, subways, and taxis, are all readily available, and usually reasonably-priced. Though these are some of the best methods of transport, you may prefer to rent a car or hire a van service.
    Newark Liberty International Airport
Distance: 24km southwest from Midtown Manhattan
Taxis, car rentals, and bus services are all available at this airport; however, they can make for a long, expensive trip. An economical and straightforward alternative is the airport AirTrain service.
