Absolutely excellent hotel. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and efficient and we were take straight to a very nice room but there was a problem with the radiator. It would not turn off so the room was very hot. The lady who showed us in tried to sort it but couldn't and 15 mins later a man appeared with a new valve but that didnt fix it either so we were given another room which turned out to be a suite, which was very nice. Both rooms were clean and bright with plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries in the bathroom. We had a very good nights sleep and an excellent buffet breakfast in the morning. All in all a great hotel that I would recommend to anyone.
I had to find a last minute hotel room for my student son in London whose regular accomodation was unexpectedly unavailable for one night. I booked him at the Cranbrook Hotel because it was very good value and, as it was only one night, it seemed adequate. Here's my son's feedback: "Hey thankyou for the room last night, it was absolutely fine, very clean and tidy. It was a bit far from the center of the city but a train took me there very quickly. " Based on his experience, he would recommend it to young people in similar circustances or people looking for clean, basic accomodation during a short stay in London and not exepecting anything beyond that. I would recomend it to parents in similar circustances to ours (though, of course, I haven't actually seem the accomodation). My son also mentioned that the staff were extremely welcoming and polite.
I spent just a night there . I was warmly recieved by the receptionist..
The bed and pillows were just right for a nights rest.
There could be more improvement in the repairs in the bathroom such as toilet seats which were a bit wobbly and also the shower holder needed to be tightened. A few loose screws on the sockets needs re-screwing.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR 2 NIGHTS, WENT AROUND LONDON TO SEE THE SITES WITH MY DAUGHTER AS HER BIRTHDAY PRESENT.
WENT TO THE FOLLOWING
SEA LIFE CENTRE,
LONDON TOWER BRIDGE.
"Excellent hotel, 2 mins walk from Ilford Station"
The hotel we eventually stayed in was not the one we booked for, however, it was owned by the same owner and was finished to much higher standard. The facilities and the cleanliness of the ensuite double room was excellent and the position of the hotel, on the main street of Ilford, barely 2 minutes walk from the Ilford Station in zone 4 was an excellent place to stay.
Quite well presented home, recently upgraded and roomy. Lovely large bathroom and kitchen/laundry. Bedroom large but needed a chair or two as bed lumpy and creaky !! Would have no hesitation in staying there again.
