The hotel was very nice. The bed and pillows supplied were very comfortable. A large window from floor to ceiling let in an abundance of light. The room appeared newly furnished. The bathroom was larger than average with a lot of counter top space and nice lighting. I would stay again for sure. The hotel did not have a complimentary breakfast. Room service and costs for breakfast items was a bit pricey.
My husband and I checked in on October 17th around 8pm. I had reserved a standard deluxe room. Steve at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were staying for a night prior to the Detroit Marathon, which they provided a shuttle for. Steve even upgraded our room to a beautiful suite! We had access to the butlers pantry in the morning which included coffee, bagels, pastries, cereal, milk....it was lovely.
The room was spotless and well appointed. When we were in our room we never heard a thing! Sound-proofing was top-notch.
I highly recommend Motor City Hotel and Casino, and I can't wait to go back!

This downtown Detroit casino and hotel is within a mile of Ford Field, the Fox Theatre, Joe Louis Arena, and Comerica …More
This is a gorgeous location, right on the waterfront. I enjoyed a fine dinner at Volt, right in the hotel lobby. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The only drawback for me was having to pay for wifi. I would love to return with enough time to go on the River Walk right by the hotel, and with my passport for a jaunt to Canada, right across the river.
I arrived in the afternoon, and was very pleasantly greeted by the woman at the front desk. She even helped me with getting a new wi-fi password after the one she'd given me expired. The room was a great size (was a little miffed that I didn't get a single bed-room; was only able to get a room with 2 queens, but oh well), and had everything I could ask for.
The free breakfast in the morning was very helpful (probably more my problem that I wasn't able to get to it some mornings because it was too early but whatever).
Awesome hotel/ location! Very friendly staff. A great safe place to stay in the heart of Detroit! Surrounded by great resturants that are safe to walk to! From our room we could see into comerica and see Ford field. But no tub or bathrobe unless you stay in a suite:(.
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, clean and had awesome amenities. The pool and fitness area were very nice. There was always several people around to answer our questions or assist us. We had two queen beds in a very spacious room with two teenagers and we were given a rollaway for no extra charge. Hotel is located close to several things to do in the city. Love, love, love the convenience of the People Mover located right in the hotel. We were in town or a Tigers game and took the People mover for .75 to within 2 blocks of the stadium. Awesome hotel!
