Our stay at The Atheneum exceeded expectations. Our Deluxe Suite King room was squeaky clean, and larger than we expected. The bathtub was enormous and great for soaking after a long day. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a conference at Huntington Place, and it was easy to walk there each day. We really appreciated the staff accommodating a late check-out. Other notes on the neighborhood: Greektown Garage had affordable daily rates for parking and is directly across the street from the hotel. Love that The Atheneum is blocks away from so many good restaurants and bars, like Sweetwater Tavern for the best wings, or delicious Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) at Jacoby's. We would certainly stay here again!
