It is in a basement, so that’s the likely reason. The host graciously provided a dehumidifier and an air purifier to help with that issue. "Beautiful place! Great location too! We 3 middle aged women walked everywhere or took the Q line downtown. The Midtown location has a great variety of restaurants and night spots. The host is lightning quick with communication and very gracious. Other tenants in the building are friendly and welcoming too. Fantastic stay! Highly recommended!"

"The place worked out fine for my friend and I but if you're bothered by "scents", this might not be the place to stay as it's heavily scented by plugins or something like that. Didn't bother me but I could see some people being sensitive to it. The place is in what looks to be an old abandoned building, so that might turn off some people as well.
