This was our first experience staying at Shinola although we knew about the hotel's reputation as a premier property in Detroit. It was just a one-night stay, but we had an incredible experience. I had reached out in advance sharing it was a special occasion celebrating an anniversary and babymoon. I didn't expect much but I believe we were assigned a more spacious corner room and received a very sweet hand-written letter from the staff, along with a bottle of sparkling juice and some chocolates - all hand-delivered by the very friendly and charming Samuel. We also visited San Morello and the Evening Bar (mocktails), both were equally awesome experiences. The room was very well appointed, clean, and quiet. The overall ambiance of the hotel was very charming and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

This place is worth the money. Stayed for 1 night for my wife’s birthday, and was shocked by how big and comfortable the room is. Was absolutely surprised to see a massive tub in the room. The bed is the most comfortable Ive ever experienced with a hotel. Would definitely stay here again!
