Victoria Accommodation

We chose this hotel as it is close to Etihad Stadium and we were going to the football. It was on a good special too. It was a pleasant surprise to find such excellent accommodation for the price. The rooms are a good size and the amenities are very good, but I would have liked a second chair in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the room, on the 7th floor , was super quiet, so much so we slept in till 9:30 ! Thank goodness check out is 11 a.m. There is a bar/café downstairs which was buzzing before and after the game, great atmosphere for a nightcap. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The Vibe is over the road from Southern Cross station and the tram stop is right out the front, easy to travel around. Altogether we were very impressed. The décor is Art Deco in keeping with the age of the hotel as it was built in 1926. Back in 1942, when it was called the Savoy, my parents spent their honeymoon night there before my dad went back to Darwin to fight the Japanese. I didn't know this until I was telling mum (now 92), about our stay. It was a nice touch.

For the location and price this was fantastic. It is hard to find an inner city hotel with a carpark at $15 a night. The room was clean and modern, warm and sound proof from the busy city below. We had a lovely view, easy walking distance. Friendly staff at reception. I will definitely stay again next time I am in Melbourne.

we always stay at the Hilton when we can, great rooms and the breakfast is fantastic fresh fruit, all types of pastries and very good coffee

We were extremely satisfied with the hotel, a quiet location & near shops to obtain food for breakfast. A comfortable lounge.dining.kitchen, bgig bathroom with washing machine & dryer& a kingsize bed in the bedroom. what more could one want?

The room in the 'Lighthouse Tower' was large and spacious with high ceilings and was well appointed. The hotel is close to the centre of town and parks and is reasonably quiet at night. Room service breakfast looks cheap on the ordering form, but we got slogged with a $17 service fee on a $20 breakfast. Other than this, the staff were very friendly and allowed us to print an airline booking sheet free of charge.

Front desk was very helpful. Room was an acceptable size and nicely decorated.

Great stay. Good deals for meals espicially with children aged under 12

Value for money, hope to spend more time there in future!
