The staff were friendly and helpful and the Hotel itself was superb.A very pleasant stay .

Downside - You have to park your own car and pay for that. Upside - The people working at the hotel were lovely. I lost the key card within the first few minutes and it was no trouble for them to replace (for FREE). The next morning I walked out of the room and left the key in the room. Again it was no trouble to give me another key card (for FREE). The cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. The people serving at my conference were very pleasant. No one looked like they didn't like their job. Nice change from some other hotels. Expedia's app on my phone said my check out time was 1.00. Turns out check out time was 10.00. The hotel gave me a complimentary two hours but not sure who is at fault there. Overall I was very happy with my ocean view room and comfortable bed. I didn't go to the restaurant so can't comment.

I stay in hotels for approx 100 nights a year as part of my job. Previously the Mantra Pandanus has set the benchmark for hotel excellence for me but your hotel is better by far with services and facilities. Bit slow at checkin though, took about 15 minutes- one person on the counter with a myriad of other uniformed staff walking past with nary a glance or word.

The staff were very helpful as we arrived late in the evening. The staff were also very approachable and came across as sincere in helping us. The location is good, just around the corner from George Street. They have a separate room for your baggage as we had a late flight after checking out.

The most distinctive feature of this hotel is the staff. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had a friendly word.

A very comfortable hotel in a very good location near to the marina, the pier and other seclusions. Our room faced the ocean and the view was fantastic especially during sunrise. We were in Cairns for a short family vacation and the selection of the Shangrila was a very good choice. The hotel staffers were very kind and helping us on every single thing during our stay.
