We stayed 2 nights in this hotel which is without doubt the best hotel to stay in Bergamo. It is very stylish, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is perfect and the staff could not be more helpful. We also ate in the restaurant which was excellent.
What a wonderful place to stay to take in the beautiful old city. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel, all within a leisurly walk to some of the most amazing historical buildings Bergamo has to offer. Would reccommend this hotel to friends & family without hesitation.

I arrived at I Ghiri after too many hours of travel. Just as Cristina, the hostess relayed, the B&B was a short walk after the Colle Aperto. Thankfully, the host helped me my suitcase. The many steps would be the only short coming to the inn. My room was clean and spacious with WiFi. I would say the same of the bathroom. My host also showed me a kitchen area with fruit and teas. After booking with other European B&B's I was suspicious of the bed. It looked rather ordinary. But, the bed was extremely comfortable and the linens light weight and sufficiently warm.
What was best with I Ghiri, however, was Cristina. She prepared a wonderful breakfast and spoke with me during it. She is a warm, lovely person. She goes out of her way to make her guests comfortable. I would stay again in a heart beat.

This B & B was perfect for our stay in Bergamo. Centrally located, a wonderful host, terrific breakfast. It is housed in a 16th century house with many period features. The room was large and beautifully furnished. Old world charm with modern plumbing.
If we return to Bergamo we will certainly book it again.
