This is a great place to stay in the Quartier des Spectacles. The outside isn't much, it's above a sex store, but the rooms are beautiful and newly renovated. Definitely more than we were expecting. We were in Montreal for a music festival and many of the bands and DJs were staying there as well. We picked this hotel for budget and proximity to the venue, but we loved the ambiance and the lovely rooms. Carole at the front desk was amazing, so friendly and helpful. You won't regret staying here! Just to note: if you don't like stairs, book one of the lower floors, but if you're in decent shape, the stairs are not a problem at all. And make sure to get one of the "superior" rooms. There are some older rooms with shared baths, not for everyone. But the newer side has private baths and exposed brick walls. Better than some expensive boutique hotels I've stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really great hotel, clean, secure and very pleasant staff. Other locals were concerned that it 'wasn't the best part of town' but we found it to be fantastically located and a very pleasant experience. We'd definitely go back and I'd highly recommend to friends.

The owner and the staff are very welcoming . Every effort is made to ensure that the client has a comfortable stay.
The motel has probably been built in the 50's but has been well maintained or upgraded when and where it was necessary .
The cleanliness is impressive.

we booked this hotel as it was the perfect proximity between Lacadie church and Richelieu where the reception was hosted at.
we didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast as we wanted something more substantial so we just walked to Tim hortons across the street. Excellent location, rooms are clean.

We had a great time at this unassuming hotel in the Francophone heart of Montreal. Small, clean, air-conditioned rooms, a friendly staff (it helps if you speak French or Spanish, as they speak limited English), free breakfast, and comfortable facilities all made for a nice stay. The bathrooms and showers are shared, but clean, with plenty of hot water, and we never had to wait to use one. But it is the location that truly sets this hotel apart. Literally next door to the Mont-Royal subway station, on a bustling corner of Saint-Denis and Mont-Royal streets, the neighborhood is full of interesting cafes, restaurants, bookstores, boutiques, chocolatiers, and much more. The amazing access to everything made this our favorite part of Montreal. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Good value. Not fancy but not expensive either. Clean, friendly staff (the owners are lovely), comfortable and located near entertainment (the Metropolis has great bands - saw Morcheeba there) and shopping. Across from the bus station so the neighbourhood wasn't the best - but overall I was very satisfied.
