We had a nice stay at The Franklin. Our only real complaint was that the room, a Garden Suite, looked nothing like what is advertised either on Expedia or the hotel's website. The room was nice, it just didn't look anything like what were expecting. The overall service at the hotel was excellent.

An absolute delight staying at The Gore! Its classic Victorian era atmosphere, individually designed rooms and the courteous staff exceeded expectations. Quietly tucked away in the shadow of the Royal Albert Hall, it is a true gem worth experiencing! Much recommended!

Threadbare drapes, stained carpets, scratches and dents on the wall, chipped soap holder, tea cup that was chipped and dripped tea through it, two pushed together beds instead of a single king bed, peeling paint, and no outlets where there should be (I.e. none by tea kettle, none by bedside tables).
For a 5-star hotel at this price is embarrassing.
