The best area to stay in Zeberio is within the main village centre itself, or in one of the surrounding hamlets for a more secluded experience.

The main village of Zeberio is small and charming, centred around the Parish Church of Santo Tomás. Here, you'll find a few local eateries and a relaxed pace of life. It's a great base for exploring the local hiking trails and experiencing traditional Basque rural living.

For couples seeking a peaceful escape, staying in one of the hamlets just outside the main village, such as Ganguren or Ermitabarri, offers privacy and beautiful countryside views. These areas often feature traditional Basque farmhouses, some of which have been converted into guest accommodation, providing a genuine sense of the region's heritage. You'll be surrounded by green hills and can enjoy quiet walks directly from your doorstep.

The best time to visit Zeberio is generally during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with moderate temperatures that are ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Basque Country. You'll find lush green landscapes in spring and a beautiful array of colours in autumn, making outdoor activities like hiking and cycling particularly enjoyable. The summer months can be quite warm, especially in July and August, while winter can bring colder temperatures and more rain.

For couples looking for a romantic escape, spring and early autumn provide an ideal backdrop. The mild weather allows for leisurely strolls through the countryside and visits to local vineyards or charming villages without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. It's a great time to enjoy the region's culinary delights and relaxed pace.

Families travelling with children will also appreciate the spring and autumn. The agreeable temperatures mean kids can comfortably enjoy outdoor adventures without becoming overheated or too cold, making trips to local farms or nature parks more pleasant.
