Excellent location

Convenient location because of the proximity to the airport but beautiful surroundings. The hotel is a beautiful old palace in the middle of a forest. Nice ambience, decorations and staff.

The pool was a wonderful addition to this quaint place in the country, though still very close and convenient to the airport. The breakfast area is a beautiful glassed in setting looking into the countryside.

Although it was not why we chose the hotel it is an excellent base for coming to or leaving Bilbao. Very handy for the airport without in any way feeling like an”airport hotel”. Nice indoor pool and classy pitch and putt attached

When we first arrived the reception was welcoming the pool was lovely and relaxing. The food was delicious and the wine very nice. The room was fabulous with spectacular views. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. If we are over that way again I know where I will be staying. I highly recommend it

Beautiful location in the mountains

Having stayed here on two previous occasions, the location remains stunning and the cost reasonable depending on the season but overall the standards seem slightly reduced. The basic rooms are pretty basic (!) and if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast ahead of a long journey, the offering is meagre to say the least. The Bistro and the main restaurant offer pretty much the same menu and some items are excellent value whilst others seems overpriced. However the quality is fine. Beware a bread roll will cost you €1.50 but a glass of very decent wine can be as little as €2.40!

So happy we stayed here for our trip to Spain. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff are great, not to forget the excellent traditional dinner menu too. Hopefully we will get to come back again someday soon!

Beautiful hotel in the hills northeast of Bilbao. Easy to find, and as convenient as can be expected to drive in and out of the city for a few days. Unlike many places in Spain, good reliable air conditioning. Note that the “Family” room is just one room, so no privacy for anyone sleeping in either of the two beds. Hotel restaurant was good, not great, but good value.

You need to stay here its a Monument of a building

I chose this place because it is 25 min from Port Bilbao and its out in the country with plenty of parking but when you get there you discover this fabulous monument of a building. I asked about its history at reception and they informed me that the building was sited 15km away and a motorway was going to go straight through it so the owner dismantled the whole place 20 years ago and rebuilt it on its present site, its just incredible and there are photos to prove it in the restaurant. I have stayed here twice .

Sehr freundlichlicher Check in. Das Hotel strahlt eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre aus. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war für unseren Geschmack nicht so gelungen. Auch die Anfahrt ist nicht ganz einfach. Aber ansonsten alles sehr angenehm.

Hotellet ligger i en smuk beliggenhed uden for Bilbao, og det tager cirka 15 minutter at komme ind til centrum. Desværre levede oplevelsen ikke helt op til forventningerne. Hotellet fremstår en smule nedslidt, hvilket trækker helhedsindtrykket ned. Vores største problem var dog temperaturen – vi besøgte stedet i februar, og vores værelse var iskoldt. Det gjorde opholdet langt mindre behageligt, end vi havde håbet. En lidt skuffende oplevelse, som vi desværre ikke kan anbefale.
