"A gem of a hotel close to the lakeshore, the hotel was spotless and our first experience of ryokan, playing out our beds and enjoying the simplicity. A konbini and lots of restaurants meant great choice for food (including ice-cream!), the 15km route around the lake was good for a bike ride (bikes and scooters to hire from the hotel).
