"The rooms are nice. The view from the hotel of mt.fuji is insane. The breakfast was good also. The spa/onsen is soooo good. The downsides are it's kind of isolated and the food options there are very expensive."
"We decided to try a Ryokan for 1 night. Keep in mind this is a rating for Ryokan.
Room: The description shows shared baths, but our room had a toilet and sink. The showers are shared and are located with the bath (onsens) and there are 2 for 5 rooms. There is no hot water in the room sinks. We were there during winter and the toilet/sink area and the sitting areas get too cold. The mini-split can't keep up with keeping the room warm unless you close off those rooms. The futons are very thin so if you have a bad back, you will not sleep well. They also enter your room to set up the futons during dinner so keep in mind, this level of service is common and normal I would presume.
Meals: I wouldn't recommend staying at a Ryokan unless you did the half board. The meals are amazing. A lot you will not like, but its traditional Japanese. The service during dinner was the best we've had.
Conclusion - the meal and service at this hotel greatly overshadows the rooms, which to be honest should not be compared to a 4 star hotel. Great experience for 1 night."
"hotel is old, but it should be okay. many old hotels are cozy. here don't have central heater, no heating conditions. they use old heating machine. once reach set temperature, it will shut down after a while. so 2 hours it can drop from 26 to 14 degree. frozen at night, you have to wake up to turn on again. and washing room is separated, even room temperature is 26, washing room is frozen. I catched cold next day, ruin the following trip with running nose and bad appetize. I don't know summer. but don't come at winner time. you will regret. "
"Hospitality is incomparable when contacted to take taxi the hostess was more then willing to help with transportation, it feels like staying at your grandmothers home away from home "
