"I stayed at The Bloc Hotel during a short trip to Birmingham for an event, and overall it was a great experience. The location is really convenient – just a short walk from the train station and close to the Bullring, which made things a lot easier after a long journey. It was a relief to know I didn’t have far to go once I arrived in the city. I mainly used the hotel to drop off my things and get some rest, as I was out all day at the event. For that purpose, it was ideal – affordable, clean, and comfortable. A nice touch was the free water bottles provided in the room, which was appreciated. One small downside: there wasn’t a mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. So if you’re someone who needs a mirror for makeup or getting ready, that might be a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they added one to the room in the future. Overall, a solid choice for a short and functional stay in the city."

"Good location for the Wharfside and city centre. With a 20 minute walk to Chinatown and Gay Village. Breakfast is included and was nice. They had a pancake making machine which was nice to use."

"Well situated for an evening out in Birmingham. Very good value for money especially as price included breakfast. Queen room a good size and nice big shower. Very clean hotel throughout. Would certainly use again. One thing to be careful of if using the car park and following a satnav. We mistakenly went into the Five Ways car park which is owned by Euro Car Park. We realised once in there that it wasn't the hotel car park. Came out and further down the road we found the car park for the hotel. Hoping the other car park doesn't charge us for going in and coming straight out. "

"The spacious and fully equipped apartment was a great base for our break in Birmingham. Close to the centre, and even had two large tellys. Really helpful reception staff. "
