Bed and Breakfast in Woodlands

"Lovely hotel, the staff are amazing, a credit to the hotel chain, you feel welcomed immediately as guests. Beautiful inside and out lovely and clean by amazing housekeeping staff. The only thing I'd change, is the food menu and some dining recccomendations for guests. In the bar area, to do laid back dining like scampi and normal chips, (not skin on) not everyone likes these and thats all that's available. The bar menu, is still too 4 star the menu, if you want a more laid back eating experience. The garlic mushroons are not nice, at all. Too fancy for the bar menu as is the salmon beetroot etc. Using ordinary button mushroom on menu would be far nicer as the crispy crumb in the hotel ones is nit nice either not crispy at all. Please update menu for the more down to earth travelling guests. Breakfast was nice, but its old fashioned telling people where to sit, it wasn't nice being brought to a table of "not our choice". The tables for 2 are ridiculously small and it ruined our breakfast experience. Too many dishes, bowls, jugs,cups saucers used by the hotel for a table for 2. Please let people choose table of choice at breakfast. Or at least when booking a time slot, ask where you'd like to be seated, or where you'd like your table reserved. As it takes away peoples choice and preference. We were crammed in all in one tiny section near the window for breakfast. It was not nice. Felt too near to people at the side of us. People felt awkward talking due to proximity. "

"Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too"

"This hotel is really good value for money. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and there was free WiFi. The views from our window weren’t great (we were overlooking a large grey flat roof and a building site) but that’s not what I was paying for so it didn’t bother me. The check-in was fast and efficient however I was hit with a £30 refundable deposit per room (I’d booked two rooms) which wasn’t an issue for me in the long run but I don’t recall being made aware of that at the time of booking which I think would have been nice to know prior to arriving. The breakfast buffet was superb! There was a lot of variety, the food was great quality and really tasty and the staff members kept on top of things to keep things clean and topped up. The hotel was around a 10-15 min walk from the main shopping and food area of the city but it was easily found with the help of maps. I would certainly stay here again if I happen to be in Sheffield again! "

"This is my second visit to this hotel. Everything was spot on and I have no complaints at all. Great value for money, very clean. Super comfy bed. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice.
