"This hotel was one of the most overpriced properties I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the goal was to squeeze every possible dollar out of guests. The mandatory resort fee was especially frustrating because many of the “included” amenities were unavailable. Museum tickets were listed as a benefit, yet some of the museums were closed during our stay. Charging guests for perks they cannot use is misleading. The on-site restaurant, 100 Sails, charged $89 per person for a buffet that largely catered to meat eaters, with very limited options for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. The staff were generally cold and unwelcoming, as if guests were an inconvenience. The hotel also has far too many rooms for the size of the pool and hot tub, making both areas consistently overcrowded. Twice during our stay, window cleaning crews worked directly outside our room, forcing us to keep the curtains closed and ruining the view we paid for. The hot water was also shut off for several hours. The most troubling experience occurred when we attempted to dine at 100 Sails. The hostess told us no tables were available, but then immediately seated two local guests who arrived after us. After I questioned what I had just witnessed, she suddenly found a table for us. The refrigerator in our room had a foul odor, making it unusable, and there was no microwave to heat our own food. Overall, this hotel is overpriced, overcrowded, and disappointing."

Pacific Marina Inn Airport Hotel

"What we like is the low price through Expedia, and the free parking, and free shuttle to the airport. The room had a ceiling fan with a light that was quiet. The wall air conditioner was a little noisy and it automatically turns off and on throughout the night that kept us awake, but it does the job of keeping the room nice and cool. The free coffee and tea in the lobby was nice, but I would rather have the real creamers than just the powdered creamer. The room has a decent mini fridge in the room with a nice wall TV. The room also had a Gideon Bible which we think is important to have to meet the spiritual needs of the guests. There were extra hangers, and free shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. The shower had good pressure and the water temperature worked great. The staff was above average, courteous and helpful. The housekeeping department brought us brand new bath towels upon request. What we did not like were the moldy pillows and very lumpy bed that was uncomfortable and gave us a back ache. The shower faucet was dripping and splashing on the floor."

"I choose Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach hotel because it has rooms that fits up to 6 people. That's great for families with kids. And because it is close to the beach, about 4 min walk. Staff were helpful and let us check in earlier. Breakfast was good. I would suggest adding fresh veggies and potatoes wedges every day. Free reusable bottles and water dispensers on site are awesome idea! Very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend to look into it."
