"The Hotel Morgan is a boutique hotel with the charm of old Morgantown coupled with modern amenities you’d expect in a high end hotel. We stayed in a two Q room that had an interesting layout, different from the typical side by side beds. It was clean and quiet, especially for downtown. The newly renovated, quaint bar was a highlight and a relaxing place to have a quiet drink in contrast to the other loud and crowded college bars of downtown. The food at the bar/restaurant was also great. Street parking is a challenge so be prepared to valet park your car."

"We stopped here on the way back from Myrtle Beach, because of the good reviews on hotels.com. We got three rooms, and we were all pretty tired. My room, the bedsheets were stained, and the comforter was stained. I should’ve contacted the other two rooms to inquire, but I was tired and just wanted to sleep. The next morning, I asked the other two parties, the second room had the same problem as ours. Stain sheets and stained comforters. The third room….. their sheets and comforters was fine, but the toilet needed to be flushed! Did you ever clean that room use it and not flush it? Was the room ever cleaned? We complained to the front desk the next morning and all he said was I’ll tell the manager…."

"Heard people talking in lobby and adjoining room all night along with street noise. Breakfast was awful. There was only cereal and white bread. Other reviews claimed eggs and sausage but there was nothing on the morning I was there. Also, while eating some dry Cocoa Puffs a dog ean out of the elevator and started sniffing my leg. Pillows were lumpy. Room was clean. "

"I booked two rooms, each with two queen beds. Our rooms were on two entirely different floors. Check in was easy. The pool area was fine, but the floor tiles are extremely slippery when bare-footed. The lock on the fitness room was broken and just lying on the floor. The equipment there was fine, but there were no sanitizing wipes, cups for water, or tissues. The rooms themselves were fine. The stairwells were pretty dirty and looked like no one from the staff ever bothered to clean them. The breakfast was good and offered an excellent variety of food. It was constantly being replenished. When we returned from a baseball game on Saturday, all of our key cards had been erased. No one could access their rooms or outside doors. We had to go to the front desk to get our cards reset. There was no hot water beginning Friday night. There was no hot water all day Saturday. When I checked at 9:30 Saturday night, there was finally hot water. This was a pretty big issue because we were there for a baseball tournament. We were cold, wet from rain, and dirty from playing ball. We were unable to wash the chlorine off after swimming. I'm also wondering how the staff was able to prepare breakfast on Saturday without hot water. Amanda G was absolutely wonderful and so helpful! Another staff member, whose name I don't recall, was snippy about providing additional towels. I booked a room for 4 but only received 2 towels. Huh? I would not stay here again despite the great location. "
