Come stay in a cozy, newly remolded, authentic 1886 Cabin. Located on a private dead end street. Views of a 32-acer farm and mountains. This one bedroom one bathroom cabin is the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It has a fully remodeled Kitchen and Bathroom. This cabin was built in 1886 and has so much charm. Also on the property is a stone building that was built in the 1930s. The stones are etched with the location the stones came from. One from every county in WV, along with some other unique locations. Another piece of history is located right in front of the cabin, it's one of the only 2 remaining columns from the original state Captial that burnt down in 1921.

A Great Place For a Couples Getaway

Awesome Getaway

This cabin is great. From check in to check out everything was as stated and cabin was great. I would definitely stay here a again. Only a few miles from main entrance to New River Gorge, and Thurmond. Easy drive to all other parts of the National Park. We even got in a few State Parks and 1 Battlefield. And dog friendly was the icing on the cake.

Historic cabin

The cabin is very cozy and clean. We stayed two nights and enjoyed ourselves. It’s set in a neighborhood and we weren’t expecting that but it was quiet and once inside still felt like a get away.

Cozy, quiet cabin

the cabin was so cozy, comfortable and so inviting. It was rainy when we were there or we would have liked to enjoy the back yard fire pit. There was lots of history about it, I found very interesting.

It was a great place

The cabin was super spacious, and very cute. Good water pressure in the shower. The cabin was SO clean! Plenty of paper towels, tissues, toilet paper etc. it is a great location, close to the park and close to restaurants.

Peaceful

This was one of the best places I have stayed! It was quiet. It was peaceful. Perfect place to disconnect and just be. I did not turn on the tv at all. as an added bonus, I saw a shooting star. Book this cozy cabin and you will not regret it.

I couldn't ask for a better experience. The cottage was clean and organized. All of my needs were met. Cookware, cutlery, plates, and drinking glasses were provided.

Preserving History!

Humble and cozy restored cabin, sits adjacent to another structure, fascinating in is own right! The story is printed and can be read once inside the cabin. Clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Quiet location & easily accessible. The owners were friendly and very accommodating! Great location for anyone traveling to New River Gorge National Park, Hawks Nest and Babcock State Parks!! WV is an awesome see!! 💙💛

Rustic Cabin with Mice as Guests

The property was on the outside as described..but the inside was made to look so much better in photos. First we only had 1 roll of toilet paper. The caretaker kindly gave us more the next day. The bedroom lamp had been switched with a living room one that the lampshade was torn up and at first didn’t work till my husband fixed the socket. Let caretaker know. But the last and most upsetting thing was our overnight visitors. We awoke to mouse droppings on all of our counters. Caretaker came and disinfected the counters and put out a sticky mousetrap. We however bought 4 old fashioned mousetraps and some peanut butter. That evening we caught 3 mice and disposed of them. I let caretaker know of our purchase and our catch. At this point we are getting irritated…no offer to reimburse for traps etc.. or even a discount for everything we are going through. The furniture was extremely old and uncomfortable also. In close I will not be returning nor recommend this rental.
