Cabin Was in a perfect setting, clean, hotel amenities, everything was perfectly thoughtout for guest needs. Dinah was a jewel, When we locked ourselves.out. Hope yo stay there again!
This was a short get away just to relax. We couldn't believe how thoughtful our host was. She thought of everything, and I do mean everything! We had a wonderful stay and were very appreciative of how nice the cabin is. We loved it and will be booking again in the future! Perfect place to just go and be quiet. I'd mark it more than 5 stars if I could!
This place is absolutely delightful! We loved the privacy, and proximity to parks and mountain trails. It is right next to a gurgling stream and has a great setup for a bonfire. The interior has everything you could need for a fun, cozy vacation.
Love the location nestled in the woods, the quiet brook burbling past the firepit, the homey pinewood interior, the fully stocked kitchen, the delicious jam and cookies gift. We stayed two nights while climbing Nelson Rocks and wish we had stayed longer. Thanks so much for your hospitality...if I owned a cabin like that, I'd never leave!
Very nice clean cabin set back from main roads. Quiet with the only the sound of the small stream next to cabin. Set back from main road about a mile, but easy access.
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Even though it doesn’t show on gps, Dinah’s directions made it easy to get to. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and inviting. Had zero issues and would gladly stay again!
Absolutely loved our stay at this charming log cabin in West Virginia! The cabin was cozy, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The serene and beautiful surroundings made for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature!
My husband and I stayed here for my birthday / Valentines Day. It was the perfect little cozy getaway from the moment we walked in the doors! Dinah had a fire going for us so it was already nice and warm, the cabin was super clean and looked just like the pictures if not better! Kitchen was stocked with utensils and cookware and made cooking our meals a breeze. No service but the WiFi was fast and easy to connect to. Absolutely zero complaints, we both loved it and will be coming back!
We love this cabin. It’s rustic and beautiful. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back when the leaves are on the trees. The stream that runs beside the cabin is just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting. There were fresh flowers, home baked cookies and homemade jelly waiting on the table for us when we arrived. The cabin is clean and cozy. Pretty sure my husband wants to move in full time!
We love the place. This was our second time at the cabin, so we knew what to expect. The first time we were there was in the summer when everything outside was green. This time we hoped for snow, but it rained all but one day. So we stayed indoors quite a bit, enjoying the popping sound of the fireplace. We are looking forward to returning when the weather warms up.
The log cabin is very welcoming, front porch decorated with flowers and ferns, extra blankets and throws for cold nights-even on the rocking chair and swinging bench on the porch. It is in the hills, very quiet with a small creek runnning along the side of the house. Franklin is not a touristy town but we ate at 3 good restaurants and the closest grocery store is surprisingly big, everyting you need. Overall a very good, restful vacation.
My wife and I stayed the weekend for an anniversary getaway. The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and was so cozy and comfortable. My wife especially enjoyed the old cast iron tub!
We enjoyed exploring and off-roading with our Jeep durning the day, and cooking amazing meals together at night. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Dianh was a wonderful host and very accommodating.
We would definitely like to come back for another stay at some point.
Everything about the cabin was great! Its beautiful, neat, comfortable and clean. Sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the morning listening to the creek and we saw a family of deer on several days. Nothing bad to say about our experience here. Will definately be back!
Just as clean, cozy, and comfortable as it was two years ago. We did a little more cooking inside than anticipated due to the weather, but found everything we needed, from a measuring cup to a little aluminum foil and plastic wrap. It really does feel like home while you are here.
We were looking for a “little house on the prairie” experience with the children where we could just relax and play with them and it was perfect! We read a few chapters (edited) of Tom Sawyer to the kids, had a picnic in the grassy field, explored around the creek, laid in the hammock, had s’mores over the campfire, and all of our meals at the round table in the kitchen! It was really sweet, slow and just what we were looking for! Thank you for hosting well!!
The cabin was beautiful, clean, and just what we were hoping for. The seclusion makes for great star gazing and animal watching, I was fortunate to have my coffee on the porch while watching deer. The wood fireplace was probably my favorite part. We definitely plan on using the cabin more in the future. Dinah was a fantastic host and was easy to contact/communicate with!
Wow, Dinah was wonderful about giving accurate directions to her charming cabin. So many thoughtful touches made us feel welcome. We had everything we needed for a delightful two-night stay. We enjoyed a hike at the Dolly Sods (1.5 hr drive) and lunch at the Gateway Family Restaurant. We also enjoyed browsing the flea market in Franklin, but our favorite activity was hanging out at the cabin! Thanks, Dinah!
Loved the location after we finally found it. The cabin was beautiful. Air conditioning not what we expected. We had to stop in Franklin to ask for directions to Johnson Hollow Road. Cabin very difficult to find
