"The room was very roomy and well presented, with a large bathroom, everything was very clean we had a balcony with a view of the lake which was amazing, the restaurant and bar was good to we had some bar snacks and a couple of drinks and went back for breakfast, the staff at reception were very helpful and friendly and so was the restaurant staff. we will definately return. Highly recommend."

"The rooms were clean and the outside pool areas were very good however the rooms were very cramped and dated.Some effort has been made to modernise some of the areas but the finishing results are very poor.The "Hot Tub" in our room was pretty much a tiled bath with no circulation water or heater as one would normally find in a Hot Tub. Overall OK but not for us again.Sounds from other rooms was bad especially when some people decide to be awake from 3.30 a.m. in the morning and sound proofing needs to be considered."

"The restaurant was cool at the Lake Front Lodge staff were awesome food and drinks awesome. The front desk staff were good. The spa pool and swimming pool needs to be hotter than it was disappointing the spa pool was cold not operating was disappointed with this side of things."

"*The Cove Taupo — 5/5* Stayed here recently and it was exactly what we needed for a getaway. *The room: Clean, a little outdated but comfortable no view as the room was on the opposite side, Lake Taupo is the real deal. Big windows, comfy bed, and everything worked exactly as it should. *Location*: Perfect spot if you want quiet but still close to town. 5 min drive to the lakefront and cafes. Easy parking right outside which made unloading a breeze. *Staff & service*: Super friendly and low fuss. Check-in was quick and they gave solid local tips for food and walks without being pushy. *The little things*: Fast wifi, decent coffee setup in the room, and there is an outdoor area that was great for a sunset drink. Place felt well maintained, not tired like some lake motels. Only heads up: it’s popular, so book ahead if you want a lake-facing room in summer. Overall, great value, great spot, would stay again. If you’re heading to Taupo and want somewhere relaxed with a view, this is it."
