Venice is a nice place to visit if you like going to a very clean beach. I mean, the beach is huge with white sand and a Beach/Boardwalk just like Santa Cruz. Plenty of dining high and low end. The traffic is horrendous though at rush hour.

Venice is an iconic area of LA and is a hub of activity during the day. Plenty of sports to get involved with or simply just walk and people watch.

There is an unhoused people with mental health or substance abuse issues here, that, at times, like a lot of larger cities, can feel unsafe.

Venice is a busy vibrant area, much better than the more subdued beaches to the north and south if you're looking for action when you walk out the door, Venice is great

Venice was lovely when we rented some peddle bikes and took in all the sites.
"I stayed in the 4-person, dorm-style hostel and I could not be happier about the price or the experience! There's a beautiful rooftop bar and the lobby is perfect for reading a book, working on the computer or having a drink! "
