It was a little bit of a walk (my wife uses a cane) to the main drag, to shop and eat but we did walk to Ueno park, the Imperial gardens and to a train to go to Mt. Fugi. The room was smaller than an inside cruise cabin but it was clean when we got there.

This hotel is conveniently located - 5 minute walk to the Suehirocho subway stop. Clean and comfortable but VERY small, so claustrophobic!

There is a charge ¥1000/hrs if check in early than 3pm and/or check out later than 10am. What a surprise for 10am check out? (through the extra charge is not that bad). And you get called on the hour for extra charge (I got called at 10 & 11 twice) I recommend their ¥1400 buffet breakfast that’s much better than outside. Rooms are very very small/compact. Everything else follows Japanese standards in my opinion.

Consistent APA Hotel quality
As we stayed a few different APA Hotels, we are happy about an overall quality of their product (hardware & software) -- although we observed a minor difference in service. For example, another APA Hotel we stayed accommodated people before the check-in time starts whereas this APA Hotel asked us to wait until exactly 3 PM for check-in (no complaint BTW). Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and quite happy about their service. Especially, on demand room cleaning was great as they hang a plastic bag with new towels and necessary goods every day when we chose not to clean the room. Moreover, a small refrigerator in the room was great and microwave at the 1st floor was very useful. Of course, because we are in the middle of Tokyo, the room was small -- good for a solo person however quite honestly pretty tight for two. Furthermore, since the hotel has 12 stories high, we sometimes waited quite a long time to catch the elevator (people for daily room cleaning carrying a bulky stuffs also use the same elevator). However, these "minor" issues can easily be offset by the positive side of this hotel. We have no hesitation to pick another APA Hotel when we returned to Japan in the future. Thank you very much.

Property is upscale and nice. We ended up accidentally booking a smoking room, and the smell was noticable, but only for a few minutes and not overwhelming. Not the hotels fault but mine. If we had been in a non-smoking room I'm sure they'd be even better. 5 star rating. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Been staying at this hotel dozens of times, it is my to-go property. Clean, very nice staff, wifi is very good for working, pillow could be softer but blanket is the most comfortable Ive ever seen. Only problem with most hotels in Japan is the AC thats turned to heat way too early in the year to way too late (cant control heat vs cool) so its a pain to sleep in the months before and after summer, AC also doesn't go low enough for the hell temperature they have in Japan peak summer. This hotel also accomodates my no-cleaning needs every time! It is close enough to Akiba to be able to walk as well as being close to the chuo-line and metro lines (ginza and more) to be able to go anywhere pretty quickly, overall a very convenient location while not being too close to the masses!
