For a budget choice the Macleay Hotel ticked all our needs. Clean, comfortable and central to our needs while visiting Sydney. Parking made easy. Front desk upgraded us to a better room. Not expensive but what a view across to the harbour bridge. I imagined what New Year’s Eve would be like from that vantage point. An experience that we’d repeat.

We had a perfect stay at the Macleay Hotel! Room was nice with well equipped kitchenette, view was great and we could walk easily to the botanic gardens and the city centre or take the 311 bus directly in front of the hotel.

3 night stay over NYE 24/25- staff excellent. Only complaint is slightly noisy through door but no outside noise which was great. Bed comfortable, kitchenette just right for small meal prep and bathroom clean and functional.
