"The hotel is situated in a beautiful historical building. Our room was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was lovely especially in the setting of the Lady Fairfax Room."

"This hotel was centrally located and generally met the description. I really appreciated the toiletries and fruit at the front desk, as well as the in-suite laundry facilities. Unfortunately one lift was down for maintenance, so there were some delays. Also, the pool water (and spa water) were cold. Sauna was good though. I thought the bathroom was quite cramped, with very little counter space, and shower leaked on the floor. Overall, the hotel met our needs, though it could have used some improvements."

"The location was excellent for walking to sightseeing spots along the water front, shopping along George St and accessing public transport. My family loved the swimming pool and spa facilities. Front desk was very helpful. The room was spacious and immaculate. Beautiful city views out of the balcony. I really appreciated the full kitchen and also washing machine + dryer. On the downside, however, the carpet was a bit tired. We found debris floated down from the A/C unit in the living room, which was very noticeable on the white sheets of the sofa bed below. The filters probably needed changing. The toilet cistern broke down on Saturday night, and had to be manually sprung back during the rest of the weekend (while maintenance wasn't available)."

"Our room was lovely. Very quiet and clean. All the necessary toiletries, equipment and safe. Got upgraded and had view over Sydney Harbour Bridge. Best thing about this hotel is it's location which is second to none if you are wanting to be near all the touristy things. Breakfast superb with everything you could possibly wish for. Bed very comfy and huge. Sylvesters restaurant was excellent and very good value with our $50 off voucher. Very good value too for a top rate hotel."

"A great location for easy access across the CBD and easy walking to metro and tram station, and easy access to World Square eateries. Room was overall nicely appointed and a comfortable size, but a little dated in places and the hotel is showing it's age somewhat in terms of wall scuffs, carpet, bathroom tiles. However a comfortable stay, quiet, and good location for business in the city."
