"I arrived early to a super friendly host. Was invited into an open lounge for the quests with a roaring real fire . Offered refreshments and then shown to my room for the night. . Cannot fault the whole experience from start finish . Real home made breakfast, just a lovely environment , and a very good price I would have paid more for this . Thanks again to the host she was super lovely .My only regret is not spending more time there. "

"Had a lovely long weekend at Bank Top in Mickleton. Very relaxing and peaceful. Yhe cottage was perfect and very comfortable with all we needed. The weather wasnt great but it didnt dampen our experience. The Sunday Roast at the CROWN which is 100yds away was outstanding. Great time and our dog, Poppy loved it too. Many thanks."

"A lovely hotel in the most perfect of areas for exploring everything Durham. A little more tea and little checks of the room would’ve made it super. Only other slight disappointment was only small amounts of fruit at breakfast. Everything else was lovely including staff and general upkeep of hotel itself. Thank you for a great stay"
