Royal Garden Hotel

"Good hotel, but check your bill carefully! The hotel itself was very good and in an excellent central location. My wife and I stayed with a group of friends after attending an event nearby, and we were perfectly happy with our stay — until breakfast the following morning. This is where things became disappointing. Our bill stated a 12.5% service charge, yet we were also charged an additional £3.50 per guest — £21 in total — even though our guests had already paid for their breakfasts separately. I find this extremely misleading. If a charge is described as 12.5%, then that is what a customer reasonably expects to be charged. Adding further charges without making them absolutely clear is, in my view, deceptive and leaves a very poor impression. It’s a shame because we genuinely liked the hotel. My advice: enjoy your stay, but check your bill very carefully before paying."

"Large central hotel just off Russel Square, modern square rooms, offering large double / kingsize beds and ensuite with walk-in shower, clean and tidy mid morning check-out, opperating across 6 floors, with large underground car park, resonably priced for London but within "Congestion" zone area (drivers be warned). Easy access to central London via underground, two minute walk from the lobby, directly on the Picadilly line. Coffee shop, bar and convienence store on sight, plethora of resturants and shops around. Will stay again if rooms reasonably priced when booking,"

"Loved it! However, as someone with chemical/fragrance sensitivities, they pumped fragrance through the whole hotel and it was extremely bothersome for me. Thankfully there was a window, but I wouldn’t stay again solely because of that. Otherwise, it was great!"

"Great location. Just across the bridge from Big Ben. Being a Radisson property, staffs were good. However, my room had a technical problem going in on the 2nd day, and I and I had to wait about an hour on the lobby. A better, more professional hotel would have changed my room to another under this circumstance. Overall, it was okay."
