"Beautiful property. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was extremely gracious and helpful and most spoke okay English. Food was atrociously expensive (we ordered half a sandwich and fries (about 15), and a cup of coffee (no refills) and it came to about $40 USD. Breakfast buffet was 5,000 yen. A cup of coffee was 1,500 yen, or about 7 USD."

"Travelled with my wife for the first time to Japan; for the price, we were impressed. Room felt a little crammed at times but was manageable. Staff was extremely friendly and ensured we were comfortable. Room had air conditioning and the bed/pillows were more comfortable than my own. Close to Kyoto Station which saved us time and energy which you would need to travel any places you planned to visit/hike. Would stay here again."

"Great location close to the train station. The rooms were sizable which was a great change of pace from the hotel rooms in Tokyo. The ambiance of the hotel was nice and peaceful with quiet rooms. Definitely take advantage of the breakfast!"

"Accommodation with half board option is a must without consideration. It takes our the needs to worry about where to eat for breakfast and dinner, then you can skip lunch for more time with site visits. The public bath is nice and clean. Staff are friendly."

"The service concept was different from other hotels. The room size was rather small, but manageable. Overall, a good value. This hotel is only a few minutes from the main train station and is in the middle of the shopping and restaurants section of Kyoto."
